The Roses
15 September, 2022
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Roses beautiful roses
How you bloom for me
Throughout the summer heat
In colors vibrant for all to see
Your scent so sweet
Lofts upon the air
No store bought rose
Could ever compare
Oh, Magnificent roses
Standing proud in tribute of love
To Franz Schubert's song and a gentle man,
Who is now up above
With honor of your glory
I prune and water in daily doses
Your life's lesson to me..
Never forget to take time,
to stop, and smell the roses
