Sunrise
31 October, 2022
Author: Shiloh
sunrise in three hours, the day begins,
and all who must obey the time must silently weep
as they prepare to lose a bit more of their dignity in homage
to the ones that live off their sweat,
and gather fame and glory from their assignments.
I am glad enough that I no longer must play that game
of the rhythm of balancing attitude with need
and giving up a bit of myself every morning, until by day's end
I am weak and tired and angry.
