I watch as the bees and butterflys flitter through the purple sage.
Dancing from flower to flower as the breeze gently cools the late spring air. The movement of the breeze brings me the light scent of the sage, as it moves through it leaves.
The hummingbirds have not yet discovered their new feeder as I await their arrival. One day, I know, they will come.
The weeding is done and the old blooms cut back. A robin drops by to have a few bites of lunch before the midday heat. I am always amazed how many worms she finds.
I look happily upon the blooming of my flowers. They bring me an inner peace and joy as their color brightens the day.
The roses are faint as the first bloom dies back. The remaining few standing proud even on the smallest of bushes.
I wonder where the bees are living, as so many different types frequent my garden. They are not bothered by my presence as i stand over them, They do not fight each other, but share their finds.
They provide the simplist of entertainment for my daydreaming mind.
I am caught up in the nature. The singing of several types local birds. The soft drifting cotton from my old cottonwood tree.
She majestically stands 60 to 80 foot tall. This year I can see a few dead branches within her enormous splender. I wonder how old she truely is, hoping she will out live me.
The dogs are inside as they dont care for the heat. They would rather sleep the day away and play through the cooler night
What a beautiful restful day it is.
