Nobody Knows

author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
They fought for our county through the war in vietnam
Way out in korea and across the dessert sands
So many went to battle
To keep our countrys free
And now we look away from them
though their fighting will always be
And nobody knows
Nobody knows
No body knows
What dangers lie beneath the vacant eyes,
of the silence of their screams, nobody knows
He sat upon the wall
His brethrens names beneath him spelled
The loss so great he didnt hesitate as his gun finished his fall
They quickly cleaned the area before anyone could see
No mention of this tragedy was ever for eyes to see
No body knows
Nobody knows
Nobody knows
What sadness lies beneath the distant stares
And the dreams still filled with screams
Nobody knows
