The chains of mediocrity
Keeping the words un-penned
Poets afraid to speak the truths,
that the words might hurt, or offend

But silencing the voices
Seems to be a dangerous trend
When no one speaks the truths
The truth will begin to end

So speak my fellow poets
Send thoughts, so some may comprehend
We all are voices that speak as one
And society can begin to mend

And when the silence is broken
and truths are allowed to defend
They'll find living in this world together
is best when all are friends
