Rose Petals
24 July, 2024
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)

vinebar

The rose petals fall through my finger tips
Though my touch is delicate the roses beauty is more so

Remembering a man who was gentle and kind
When the world was harsh
And unending

His roses of so many colors I admired
So he cut me a huge bouquet

He never knew how much it touched me
A simple kindness still remembered today

As my own roses bloom
I breath in deeply
Remembering him, as my rose petals fall

In my old Neighborhood there was a kind old Gentleman named Mr Shoeman. (I don't even know if that is how you spell his name) But he is remembered by me everytime I look at my roses.
