Carry On

Author: Pondering Red
It's been hard sometimes,
and sometimes
the world has a softness
like a grassy meadow under bare feet.
I've blocked many portals
to my memory, locked them tight,
but they keep sliding open,
toxic episodes clawing to escape.
But let's not be so anxious,
heart pounding
like a drum in a dream.
Let's walk slowly,
savor the newness
of each day, each hour.
Bring your camera,
it's a good friend,
and the images you capture
whisper new stories,
fueling your journey.
Carry on.
