Alone And Scared

I sit here on the edge,
Holding a razor in my shaking hand.
My heart is filled with dread.
I know I will disappoint many,
But they don't know what goes on in my head.
I sit here alone and scared.

They will think that I'm weak,
Some will say this is the easy way out.
I need to find some strength.
I slowly drag the blade across my skin.
I see the scratch I've made.
Somebody help me.
I'm alone and scared.

Second thoughts come to mind,
I thought I was strong enough to put it all behind.
A voice comes from within,
As I start to cry, the blade falls to the floor.
The phone rings,
It is my love.
For once I realize,
I am not alone and no longer scared.

Nice poem!

i like this one. You should never be alone. If you need anyone to talk to i will be here to listen to whatever you have to say. I like your writing by the way!

I just started writing poetry as an escape from everything and so far I guess it's working.
