He was there when I needed you
I leaned on him and He made me strong
I leaned on you and you let me fall
He told me to leave
To never come back
That you'd never change
But I still cut you slack
You're gone now
So is He
But He was right
Maybe I should have listened to him.
But you were still the love of my life
I loved you so much words can't explain
You were my sun and my rain
When you hurt me so bad
He was there to heal my pain
I'll always love you
Probably all of my life
Maybe some day you'll change
But I won't wait that long
I love you and I always will
But just know He was there
And I was with you still
