Easing The Pain
6 September, 2003
Author: Hegarty
Silence often says more than words
Cryptic messages ring in your mind
Confusing metaphor draws a line
A line as fine as sand, as fine as time
Smoother than a plate of glass
And just as transparent
Can you read between the lines
Broke out like a rash
Just as infectious
Words like heroine to the mind
Spoken word
Spoken mind
Broken soul
Broken lines
Spoken or broken, your promises were empty
Makin' the mind think twice
Silence is still my golden virtue
Soon to be shattered, give it time
Exploding with words that could shake small mountains
If I knock you from your feet, maybe I'd be all right
Jealousy consumes me, and I thought I'd feel better
This pain isn't so tangible, and I doubt my mouth
