Lying Eyes

How can my feet be tired when it's my mind that's running so much?
How is everything so meaningful,
when you choose the non-existant memories to clutch?
Does life embrace your every word,
As if your thoughts are so profound?
Will time heal the wounds from all the secrets that got around?
I have a mind thats got the best of me,
When I seek truth I look to your eyes and they tell me what I am.
Life is essential when dreams rain like a luscious vision,
Then again what's the use when dreams get locked away inside your prison.
I can dream a dream bigger than you,
I leave you standing wondering what you just went through.
I have a mind thats got the best of me,
When I seek truth I look to your eyes and they tell me what I am.
I lost my passion to sleep at night,
I used to be upset at the sight of the morning light.
Life was essential when dreams would rain like luscious visions,
what happens when those dreams fade away?
As hard as you try,
You couldn't make them stay.
I have a mind thats got the best of me,
when I seek truth I look to your eyes to tell me what I am.
This time they were un-true,
I realized that this life I've been living has been through you.
