Should Have Stayed!!!
25 January, 2004
Author: Holly A. Badolato
I look into his baby blue eyes,
and I kiss his soft sweet lips.
I hold him close around his neck,
as he holds me around my hips.
Hey lays down on the ground,
and I lay next to him.
I tell him the lighting is perfect.
Its at a perfect dim.
I listen to his heart beat,
As i lay my head on his chest.
It beats fast, then slow.
It never takes a rest.
He tells me that he loves me,
and I say "I love you too!"
This is the perfect night.
The night for me and you.
Nothing could go wrong.
Not on this special night.
Not after all this working hard,
to make me look just right.
See this was our prom night,
Any you got crowned king.
Then to top it off,
I got crowned queen.
We gave our loving speeches.
We had our special dance.
When it came time to leave,
You didnt have a chance.
Everyone got into their cars,
And we all drove away.
Some of us were safe to drive,
Others should have stayed.
I watched us hit them with great force,
It scared me half to death.
When the cops asked me who caused it,
I said it was my boyfriend seth.
Liz held me in her arms,
As they carried you away.
I knew you was not safe to drive,
I knew we should have stayed.
Because I wanted to share,
My special night with you.
Instead you wanted to go get drunk,
and kill yourself too.
