Your Promise
4 December, 2003
Author: Holly A. Badolato
Last night I stayed awake,
Just thinking of you and me,
How you left me all alone
How you said you’d never leave.
I did everything you told me to do,
I gave you everything you needed,
But last night I called you house
And you told me I was conceded
I didn’t understand it then
I don’t understand it now,
How you had to throw your life away
I just don’t know how.
You told me that you loved me,
But how could you?
Because you did this stupid thing
I don’t know if I’ll ever forgive you.
So now I’m saying goodbye,
To the one that I adored
I’ll soon see you in that special place,
Right there with the lord.
