Tears Of A Pernitent Player
26 January, 2003
Author: James Amuta
I cry and cry for these wasted years
Spent in wanton thirlls and frivolous cares
O! I sink and sink in sober despair
Drowning in an ocean of emotional ulcer
Bent and twisted in manner by fate
Fashioned to mourn from birth till date
Mourning this life of death I live
Where nothing I have and in nothing I believe
As I stroll through the shores of gloom
In feverish anticipation of my designed doom
Where love i s folly and wisdom buffoonery
O! How love is slavery and freedom is a penitentiary
