One Snow-covered Flower
10 February, 2002
Author: Average Joe
These once flowing tears,
Signs of love in my eyes
Will never be wet again.
Frozen in the winter
That I call your sweet voice,
Telling me this is the end
That beautiful voice that
Once lulled me to sleep,
Now haunts me in all of my dreams
The enbrace of your arms'
Become a symbol of harm,
To me and all others it meets
You're smile's so pretty
It used to warm my heart instead
It is draining it's wealth.
In the face of the cold
It's funny to behold
How water insists on damning itself
But, sweety, you should know
Tears are made of salt, and
Salt water will never freeze
Winds of my dead past
Blow with all your heart and might
I'll willingly stand up to the breeze
I won't stay away from
All the nectar-fields of life
To avoid running a little chill
So if this means "I'll move on
Despite floods and cold weather",
It definitly means that I will
