Inside Anna's Head
12 October, 2002
Author: Jim
Mirror reflections that aren't me
mirror reflections that control me
seeing things that aren't there
wishing things were more fair.
Mixed and jumbled thoughts of pain
clouding my judgement feeling insane
Pressure to be something i'm not
Pounding away , will it ever stop?
Will i ever be satisfied?
Chasing looks that have me tied
forever bound by this one flaw
wishing i didnt see what i saw
Why does she have it all?
judging others as i fall
a downward spiral within my head
mirror reflections in my stead

Pamela (66.38.146.88) -- Thursday, November 14 2002, 02:06 am It's nice to see a male recognize that women are too hard on themselves for what they look like - most of them just have high standards but them complain that we are high maintenance. Just wanted you to know that I appreciate your insight and this poem is very accurate. |
