Bed Time
30 January, 2004
Author: Banana Head
To bed! to bed! is what dad said
Up the stairs I go, shouting No! No! No!
It's late it's late
It is half past eight
It's time for you to sleep, because you're only eight!
But! I dont want to go
I don't think it's late
You have to go to sleep
You have to get your rest,
Because in school tomorrow
you have to do your best
I'll be fine, I'll be fine
I have plenty of time
I can sleep in the morning, till five to nine
You'll be late, you'll be late
The school will lock the gate
You'll have to come back home
And that will be... just great
Ok! Ok! I'll go to bed anyway
I'll wake up in time, to be in class line
You're right, you're right, I'll do my best
Because I got my rest
I'll stop complaining
and try not to be a pest
At last, at last, you listen to what I say
Now that you are good
You can stay up anyway
You can read in your bed
But remember what I said
Only a few minutes more
You'll probably start to snore
Wake up! wake up!
Wake up, you sleepy head
Come on, come on, get out of your bed
It's nearly time for school
We're late anyway
But dad! But dad!
don't you know it's Saturday!

Martin Vann (171.75.209.55) -- Friday, February 6 2004, 10:25 pm Banana Head; You have a great Mom and between the two of you, I found a message, in what you said..., As you grow, you will find that time has wings and flies, from graduation day, to a like of your own. As time continues to fly and you have children of your own, don't for to tell them, how time will fly. You have great love in your life, cherish and save it and it will last for all time. Beautiful poem and always, always, laugh..., Good Night! MartinV |
