My Gift To You by Keith

My gift to you
Is all that I am and all that I’ll be
Everything I own and all that is me
I will give you a hand when others push you down
Hold you up when life’s storms threaten to drown
Give you purpose, give you strength
To live and move forward at great length
I’ll listen to you and never tear apart
The words that come from the bottom of your heart

My gift is a promise that you’ll never be alone
That you’ll always have me here while you explore the great unknown
I will be there when your world is dark and grey
Even when you hate me and try to push me away
I’ll hold you tight when all you can do is cry
If you ever need someone, you know I’ll always be nearby
Know that whenever you call I will always come to you
Never will I falter; forever I’ll stay true

I will help you get free of the inner struggle that you fight
In all of the darkness, I will help you see the light
I know you are strong and that you never needed anyone before
But that’s because you have never seen a true friend, one who won’t ignore
Let me be the shield against the horrible storms you face
I’ll see you through each storm, for I will be your base
All these things I promise you and even much, much more
And when you ask what are all these promises for
I will simply say it’s my gift to you

The Helper
Letting someone know that you'll prop them up whenever they fall, give them a hand when no one else would, and just being the "best all around" type makes that individual know how much you care and will always be there!
I hope they read this poem!
