Always And Forever
1 January, 1970
Author: Keith
You said you would always be there
But that was just a lie
You promised a life to share
But now I only cry
You said always and forever
Yet we are broken in two
You said we would never
Have to leave each other in anything we do
Why did you make me believe
That you would always care
You said you wouldn't leave
But you did, life is so unfair
You were everything to me
Plus a little more
You gave me goals to see
But you went out the door
You gave up on me, just like all the rest
But you made it worse by far
For you cracked at the first test
Leaving on my heart one ugly scar
Promises you made were broken left and right
But you can never leave me be
I wish I could push you out of sight
Ghosts of our past haunt me and its all I see
So one promise you did keep, forever we will be
