I Don't Believe
23 November, 2003
Author: KitKatrina
I sit in silence,
Ignoring all sound,
I am in awe,
This is profound,
I sit with you,
You do not know,
It is so cold,
But I will not go,
I’m in that place,
I can’t leave,
I see your face,
I don’t believe,
I hear you now,
I see you here,
Your presence is,
Yet very clear,
Pitter pattering,
Of your feet,
I walk closer,
Our hands meet,
My hand wonders,
Through your hair,
I weep out loud,
“Don’t disappear,”
You hug me tight,
You abscond,
Into the night,
And far beyond,
Out of reach,
Too far away,
I’m feeling weak,
But that’s okay,
Bodies gone,
Spirit is not,
Less and less,
But more I’ve got,
Place your hand,
Over my eye,
I help you stand,
But then you die…
