An Angel Fell From Heaven

An Angel fell from heaven today,
He landed in my hands,
He looked at me in a strange way,
And said he understands,
He said he missed me just as much,
And that he loved me so,
If only he could feel my touch,
I never wished to let him go,
All be darned, it was my dad,
The little Angel from above,
He told me to not be sad,
And that I was so loved,
He made me smile and made me cry,
Tears of love and life,
I looked at him and asked him why,
God had taken his life,
He told me it was his time,
But that he missed me so,
I told him I wasn’t doing fine,
And that I was having trouble letting go,
As a single tear rolled off his face,
He said he loved me, and goodbye,
He said don’t let time erase,
My love for you will never die,
And as he looked me in the eyes,
I stared like I wouldn’t let go,
Looking at him made me cry,
And I just couldn’t let him go,
He wiped my tears with just one touch,
And smiled just like he used to do,
He said to me, “I love you so much,
And I’m always watching over you.”
