Warning: I Care
1 November, 2003
Author: KitKatrina
A poem a day keeps the pain away,
Well at least that is what I think,
I love that people listen to what I say,
And don’t think that it’s a joke,
I love to read other’s poems as well,
And let them know what I thought,
I understand what they’re trying to tell,
In fact, I understand a lot,
I read poems in here about everything,
Lots about lost ones and friends,
Some tell you what life has to bring,
And some want their life to end,
Even though some don’t have the talent,
I love to read what they have to say,
I try to put myself in their shoes,
And read them in a different way,
I respect everyone in this place,
I respect all that they share,
Even though I can’t see their face,
To let you know I truly do care,
Thanks for sharing with the world and me,
Everything you’ve already shared,
Always let your feelings free,
And know that someone cares!

Sarah Taurus (64.57.107.116) -- Wednesday, November 5 2003, 08:41 pm Gucci, I think it is so true, its not weather the poem rhymes, and if it does'nt make sense, its like you being in that person's shoes writing that poem and comunicating with your inner self and it making sense to that person, rather to the rest of th world, it could just be free thought or serious, or both, so i think every poem has its own uniqueness and they are all great! |

KitKatrina (68.113.60.103) -- Thursday, November 6 2003, 12:26 am Chanel, you were right on the money with that one. That's exactly what I meant. I'm not being mean saying people don't have the talent, I was saying that the poems don't have to rhyme or make sense at all. Poetry is just a way of expressing yourself even when it's so hard to express it. I don't know I'm a dork. lol. love ya and thanks for the comment...bye |
Terrie* (65.148.211.240) -- Thursday, November 6 2003, 09:25 pm Kit, as i said before...your talent goes beyond the wind..you captivate our evey thought, our every feeling, you are such an inspiration young at heart yet so mature in ways...loved it... |
Martin Vann (171.75.206.185) -- Thursday, November 6 2003, 10:25 pm Kit; You have cracked through some solid, rock with this poem. Only a fool, would not appreicate this poem, and you should have pride, in knowing, that what your heart shared with you, then, you with us, is true. Perhaps, it must be true, though in prison of many kinds, it is the heart that give us the key, to be what within our hearts, we want to be, and, it sets us free. A Classic! MartinV |
KitKatrina (68.189.39.167) -- Monday, July 11 2005, 10:18 pm I just reread this poem that I wrote long ago. I would like to apologize for what I said in it. "Even though some don't have the talent." I think that was a very rude thing to say, and I do apologize. Poetry isn't about how talented you are, it's about feelings and emotions, it's wonderful. Thanks |
barb (209.112.22.111) -- Tuesday, July 12 2005, 05:21 am I read this and thought holy a person in their youth understands and feels what it takes most of us decades to learn. With your attitude and understanding of life, you'll do fine, no matter what life throws at you. no need to apologize we know what you meant. thanks for sharing your feelings with us. |
