Home Is Where The Heart Is
23 October, 2003
Author: KitKatrina
I wrote a message in the sand,
Hoping that it would stay,
I wrote this message with my hand,
But it soon washed away,
I had written a message of hate,
Hoping that that’s what it’d rid,
It seemed like it washed away “great”,
That’s the one thing that it did,
It’s like I jinxed myself that one day,
For everything has gone wrong,
All my friends are going away,
And now I need to be strong,
I feel like I can’t even write anymore,
My passion is slowly fading,
I hope it comes back like it was here before,
Or my life I’ll forevermore be hating,
When I write it’s like a dream,
Where I can only be me,
Or at least that’s what it seemed,
Because I felt so free,
Like a feather in the sky,
So light and so carefree,
If only I could fly,
Just like a bumblebee,
I call it the zone,
A place I love to stay,
I call it my home,
And I hate to stay away,
Maybe I’ll just never leave here,
I’ll stay in the zone and write all day,
Where everything is clear,
And all my pain just goes away,
This place is my zone,
My heart is where the zone is,
This place is the home,
Home is where the heart is!

You have a real talent going for you. I could see you being a very good songwriter. I do make one request, though. If you stay in that zone all day take some good food with you! And Keep Writing! Thank You!***Ben |
