Just A Dream
15 August, 2003
Author: KitKatrina
Hair in a locket,
Memory on a chain,
Sand in my pocket,
This is memory lane,
Out on the beach,
With sun in my eyes,
You in my reach,
And the clear blue skies,
The ocean before us,
The waves so tall,
There is no rush,
No rush at all,
Birds flying above,
Crabs down below,
A beautiful white dove,
A crab pinching my toe,
Laughter all around,
Your brown eyes that glow,
Your frowns upside down,
Your face I do know,
Mist from the water,
Sun beating down,
As we see an otter,
Flapping all around,
All this time with you,
Makes me feel so good,
I hope you feel it too,
This feeling understood,
As I open my eyes,
I realize it was a dream,
But the dream was no lie,
Everything is what it seemed,
This was no dream just a memory,
Of how things used to be,
Everything was so clear,
Everything I could see,
Memory lane is in my thoughts,
As you are in them too,
They reside in a special spot,
In my heart just like you….
