I will always remember that afternoon,
For God took your life way too soon,
You in a coma and sweat all around,
Made me want to fall to the ground,
I couldn't stand seeing you this way,
No words can describe what I want to say,
I would wipe your face down but you couldn't see,
Just how loving I was trying to be,
You would open your eyes for a little while,
Then your saddened lips would stretch to a smile,
It made me feel great most of the time,
Until I really realized you weren't fine,
I started to see how sick you were,
My whole life just turned into a blur,
I always thought you would be here forever,
Then God switched it around thinking he was clever,
Then in the end I realized he was right all along,
For God doesn't lie, he's never wrong,
So now I am beginning to finally see,
What all along was right in front of me,
Since 14 you have been struggling for life,
And here I am thinking I had such strife,
You're a trooper and I wanted to keep you here,
Now things are getting a lot more clear,
I love you dad but God is right,
So I'll put my gloves down and give up the fight,
All your daughters will wait to unite again,
So then this nightmare will begin to end,
We never really die just our bodies' do,
So you'll really be with us until we're with you!

This poem is so sad! I have such sympathy for you! It's great that you can write out your feelings thru your poetry, and it comes out beautifully! Well Done KitKatrina!

DEEP POEM KITKATRINA...
(tears flowing) sigh....this is so close to home...
death is a word none of us likes..it means separation from those we love... seems so final..there is a mystery about death that we do not quite understand..because of that we fear it...to experience grief is something too big to cope with..but..talking about it has always helped with the healing..just keep in mind that your dad is the aura around you...and we will all soon be a happy family once again...when we are reunited w/our loved ones...DEEP POEM....
