Burning
25 June, 2001
Author: Kristen
She startles me.
Her raw power surge
voice unleashed shatters
last resistance
and shadows flee, trembling
Crimson pitched bold
It punches through my amber sheath
to rip at my heart
and purest white heat binds
me back to feeling
Essence bleeds and I am left spent
of all bile, all cruelty.
I ache to bite through the sound
to reveal and relish its
core of sweet liquor fire.
I have been so cold this season of
complacency. Her passion is my flaming
fetish, eternal flame,
and I clutch it to my breast,
as the flames lick up at my lips.
Breathe its beating flush
and tempting risk, I swallow.
I never knew burning from the inside
would free me of all pain
