Metal Minded
5 November, 2000
Author: Kristen
Revert, convert this burnish
steeled thought machine
into something organic and warm
please...turn gray filament frayed
lines crossed into something round
and red.
DAMMIT; THERE IS NO TURN OF PHRASE TO HEAT AND SOFTEN
INTO BLUSH AND VELVET BRUSHED.
She came in through the bathroom window-
but then the panes exploded the sheerness
of visioned escape...
snatches of disregarded songs and
disentangling dawns
I never woke to in the shivers of mirrors
refracting in fragment prismed
of sheet rock cracks and hiding
withing untimed lines from
the zombie call in
endless echo continuous.
There is moss and moist simplicity within
the body...let it eat the mind.
