I look through all the proof, of our once happy days,
and I wonder now, when did that happiness fade?
We loved eachother once, and were the best of friends,
but somewhere in the choas, that love crawled to an end.
I ponder the pictures of yesterday, before death found us all,
I can see it in our faces, we never considered our loved ones' fall,
We never knew those days that it would certainly be our last,
We can't admit it now, but we never could let go of that past.
We let the pain of loss destroy the love of today,
We let the undeniable heartache leave us with nothing to say.
But now I've gathered the words, although they are too few,
and now I know exactly what I want to say to u,
Dear friends, let's journey back, to those days of bliss,
Dear friends, let's journey back, and no longer will we miss,
Let's free ourselves of misery, and be alive again,
Let's not forget the days when we were the best of friends.
Let's not forget those we lost, although of course, we never could,
But they would want us to carry on, together, and we know we should.
