Protesting
27 March, 2003
Author: Barbara Goodhew
Protesting something from happening is fine.
When protesting didn't do the work.
It's time to support the victims of the crime.
A reassuring word from supporters.
Could mean the difference of their life or death.
If people think what they are doing is wrong.
What they need is a good frame of mind.
They need our approval and support.
I know I couldn't put my life on the line.
For people that don't think what I'm doing is fine

Martin Vann (67.75.180.107) -- Saturday, March 29 2003, 07:28 pm Cao, Sometimes, I think people have to much spare time, they rant and rave, but nothing they can do our say, will save the day. Its up those, now in harms way and we should support them, all the way! I know, that some protestors, truly, believe in their cause, but geez, some act like an angry mob and show so little responsibility for those who protect their rights to flap their mouths into Freedom's breeze. Good thoughts Cap, and I understand howw you feel. God Bless, Tony Blair and you. MartinV P.S. Barb, that would make Becky very happy I think, to get hre poem on the air, here and there. |
BARB (66.46.241.232) -- Saturday, March 29 2003, 10:00 pm the protesters that don't really have their heart and soul into it are the ones I'm talking about. I hate followers they just want attention I think. Thanks for your comments and I think after all that becky has done for us she deserves recognition. |
Becky (63.65.191.51) -- Saturday, March 29 2003, 10:16 pm Thank you and everyone else for your thoughts. But I don't do anything necessary of recognition. I am just one little voice in an auditorium full of people more worthy than me to be heard and recognised. As much as I feel protesters don't always have the facts or do things for the right reasons they have the right to do it. One of the things our men are fighting for. The right for the people to have voice. Though some people should really keep their mouths shut adn thoughts to themselves in some intances. Protesting against war is fine but name calling solves nothing and makes a person look stupid and ignorant. That is why I ignor them and I always hope that the news people will do the same. Just like any mouthy trouble maker don't give them attention and they will go away. Put them on TV and it incourages the behavior. But it is also their right to televise it. So the good with the bad.. Again thaks for your support I do appreciate it greatly :) -Becky |
