My Mother Was Ann
3 August, 2003
Author: Lanaia Lee
Yes Ann was my mother
there will never be another
I love her so
Even though she had to go.
She was so good and sweet
God wanted her by his side
Now on his right side she has a seat
And in this I take such pride.
Yes Ann was my mother
She left this earth so long ago
I know over me she hovers
Protecting me with her angelic cover.
Yes Ann was my mom
Her leaving made me feel so alone
When she left it felt like the impact of a bomb
Which she was the best lady I hane ever known.
My mother Ann now plays a heavenly song
But stiil for the touch of her hand on my face I long
But I know she is better off
In that heavenly land beyond decay.
