I want you to know I will always be there
To give you support and show you I care.
I’ll read you a story when you go to bed
I’ll let you cry on my shoulder when you bump your head.
I’ll set you straight when you go wrong.
And when I go places I’ll take you along.
I’ll go to your games when you play ball.
I’ll give you a hand when you take a fall.
I’ll always be there, right by your side.
And when the road gets bumpy, I’ll be along for the ride.
I’ll teach you everything that I possibly can,
To help you grow up to become a man.
I’ll try to give you everything that I never had,
And I’ll make you proud to call me your dad.
