I Feel So Alone
23 September, 2003
Author: Leah
All the loneliness, confusion and regrets
Eat me alive
From the inside out
With know one to cry to but God
I pray for hope
Sadness rushes over my heart
As I grab my chest from the pain of
Sadness, confusion , heartache and shame
I miss my friends and family
and I feel so alone
I don't know the reason why I'm crying
Just wishing I tried harder
Wish I was stronger
To overcome these feelings of fear
My broken heart and shattered dreams
Are lost
I guess I'm confused
And I feel so alone

Angel Laney (205.188.208.133) -- Wednesday, September 24 2003, 06:03 pm Wow, so much emotion here. As I was reading, a powerful wave of energy crashed over me. I have felt this way so many times before! I feel for you. I am glad you were able to express this in words. I hope that by writing it down, you were able to feel a little better. |
Ben (64.175.70.213) -- Thursday, September 25 2003, 09:33 am Leah, I found in this poem a lot that I relate to. The line, "With no one to cry out to but God I pray for hope" strikes a chord in me for I too have done the same. I see an honesty in your work and courage. I want you to know that I find it refreshing to see a poet who admits to feelings and expresses them so well. It appears you had an impact on my daughter, Angel as well. You stand apart in many ways. I am glad you came this way. Thanks! |
counsellina (65.48.104.183) -- Thursday, September 25 2003, 11:53 am Indeed I also embraced your pain...Life is not always easy, that I know! May you continue to find solice in your words and in your God. Your poetry is lovely as it reveals who Leah is and that my friend is a gift.... |
