I am the poet
The one who speaks her mind
The one hidden behind books
Looking for that find.
I am the girl
Who never got a chance
The one who never experienced her first kiss
Or asked to the dance.
I am the student
Who strives for an honor roll GPA
While dedicated to marching band
Trying to pass each day.
I am the blonde
Who stands up for her rights
Believes in the “out casts”
Picks her fights.
I am the friend
Who is always the sturdy shoulder
The one who never walks away
The one true treasure holder.
I am the heart
With all of the bruises
The one full of love
For whomever she chooses.
Who are you?

Pamela (66.38.146.7) -- Wednesday, November 5 2003, 04:36 am Pardon my french, but that poem kicked A*@! Such a tribute, and such an amzing picture painted of yourself as this shy, still developing (spiritually) human being, but who is confident in ways and chooses her own path. Beautiful. Loved it. |
