My Burden by Leah06

They are not that special
A thing I wonder why
Always yelling and cussing at me
Trying to make me cry.
Draging me along
Every where they go
Trying to spend some quality time
Testing what I know.
Having family reunions
Introducing everyone as we go along
Thinking that I care and that I'll remember
After boring hours long.
Telling me I'm smart and pretty
Just because we are related
Then asking me about my life
And who it was I last dated.
Always having some sort of camera
Permanetly attached to their hand
All those bright light flashes
Like I'm some singer in a pop band.
Theres those times when I can't stand them
They never go away
Parents want my chores done
Cousins want to play.
Grandpa wants to have a talk
Grandma wants me to help her bake
Siblings are invading my room and my space
I don't know how much more of this I can take.
But then theres times when I need them
A way to get me out
When my home family is fighting
And I can't stand the scream or shout.
Or when I'm home alone
Board out of my mind
They always have an answer
To get me off my behind.
I really do love my family
No matter what they put me through
Even if I don't end up the way they want
I know they will Love me too.
