Grandfather
23 May, 2003
Author: Leah06
You are my grandfather,
That's what you are,
I will always love you,
Near and far
I will never forget you,
No matter where you are
You helped me through the years,
You helped me grow
You cherished and loved me,
As i do you,
I promise I'll never forget you
I will hold you in my heart,
That's where you'll stay,
No one can take you away
You are now my Angel,
Watching me from above,
You are with me through heart,
And through love
I remember your face,
And the way you talked,
The way you joked,
And the way you walked
You showed you cared,
And love we had shared
I will miss you too,
And don't forget
I LOVE YOU!

Leah06 (12.232.5.189) -- Wednesday, July 16 2003, 03:00 am Yea it was bad. The only good thing that came out of it was the fact that those events brought me to my poetry. And with out it i dont know what i would do.I basically found poetry through the pain that was caused from those events. I thank my grandfathers for this because they gave me the gift of writing. No matter what others think, i love my writing and i love myself for writing it. Thanks for the coments! |

You are a very sensitive young woman. I am almost 50 years old and I can still appreciate the heartfelt words of someone who handles grief exceptionally well. I hope you are doing ok these days.
