The Warrior's Love
9 October, 2002
Author: Lightwalker
I stand alone, unsheathed and beaten
Hateful foes berating me
I must fight to stop the wicked
To keep the land and people free
To aid my heartache during war
She sleeps beside me in my arm
Her loving, warming, gentle hand
It calms the rage that causes harm
She stares into my stony eyes
She sees what those can never see
She sees the light and love so burning
She sees the peace I long to bring
