Guns And Teens Don't Mix

To show his friends he was brave
he ended up in his grave
he was young with a gun
he thought it would be fun
he pulled the trigger
if he only thought quicker

there was a bullet that wasnt taken out
too late to think about
the gun gave an echoed boom
he was rushed to the Emergency room

didnt have much longer
while we sat in somber
to wait for his last breath
might has well have been our own death

So if you think this isnt fun
dont let teens mix with guns

Powerful

what an awsome poem. Its so true that when one of your friends passes away because they were doing something stupid it almost feels as if a part of you dies with them.

meh

OK poem, but too dependent on the monotonous rhyme scheme. Looking for rhymes often leads to a poem that doesn't seem to convey enough emotion for the subject matter, as i observed in "guns and teens don't mix".

Amazing

That poem was great and it is so true... I'm sorry if that poem came from somthing that happened to you in real life but you have amazing talent...

SO TRUE

This is a great poem since i am doing something in class about teens and guns. I Could really use this poem as an example of teens against guns
