And So To Sleep
12 October, 2000
Author: Lily
And so to sleep, sleep to dream,
the dreams, what will they bring?
Faded hopes, tears and pain,
sleep not to dream again.
The scars run deep, too deep to heal,
with never-ending pain.
So not to sleep and not to dream,
to never dream again.
Forbidden hopes, tormenting dreams,
they all befall my way.
To want to dream, to cry the pain,
yet never sleep again.
My sweet little boy
In my dreams we do still play
and together we’ll play again one day.
