You say all the right words
And you say them to me
And without hesitance I accept them
I allow my heart to listen to them
I allow myself to be blinded by you

And even though I'm so tired of being hurt
So tired of not trusting you
I let you back in
I foolishly open my arms to you again
But you never truly fall into my embrace
You just pretend you're going to

And I'm a fool
A fool because of you
Because of your words
Because of your warped version of the truth
I'm a fool
A fool because of my heart
Because...
Because I must secretly enjoy being torn apart

And you do all the right things
Just not always to me
And I watch every right thing you do
Wishing every right thing was done for me
But it's mostly wrong

And even though I'm so tired of being treated wrong
So tired of crying over you
I let you back in
I foolishly make all my plans revolve around you
But you haven't seemed to care yet
You haven't seemed to care

And I'm a fool
A fool because of you
Because of your words
Because of your warped version of the truth
I'm a fool
A fool because of my heart
Because...

And it bothers me that you can do this to me
But I can't do anything to make it stop
-Especially since I try-

wow what can i say, this was a really good poem. its sad, especially the line "it bothers me that you can do this to me But i cant do anything to make it stop" thats a powerful line, wow great poem.
