I was left alone one night
Thought it wasn't right
And set out to find you
Blinded by the sight
Held back the urge to fight
As I watched you be untrue

Now I slowly walk away
With nothing left to say
But a permanent goodbye
And still in complete awe
From everything I saw
I break down and cry

My love for you was strong
But my love for you was wrong
You've proven that to me
No matter how I tried
Or all the tears I cried
We weren't meant to be

So, I'll just try to smile
Though it may take a while
Since our love is gone
I never thought I'd hurt
Thought our love was for sure
But now I must move on
