Forbidden

Here I sit in Eden
Bare for all - unashamed
I sit before the serpents tree
Where forbidden desires lay
A fruitful tree of temptation
A fruitful tree of sin
The apple I most desire
Is the forbidden
Serpents eyes stare through me
The wind carresses my naked soul
Messes my hair, chills my skin
The air grows cold
"I advocate this lust!"
I scream aloud for all to hear
Even though it scares me
As, the forbidden fruit, I near
Hesitant to grab this apple
Don't want to be condemned
A craving for the forbidden
Forgive me all - Amen

Pamela (66.38.146.7) -- Saturday, November 15 2003, 11:41 pm Who knew that my feelings for a man could be put into a metaphor with forbidden fruit! I loev this poem! I feel this way and it's driving me crazy! But, it's not worth being kicked out of Eden..... |
LinzAy (24.95.228.105) -- Wednesday, November 19 2003, 10:44 pm Heh...yea, i know what you mean. Eden in this poem stands for my friendships with certain ppl. I don't think they should be judging who i like how they are..what if this person were soon to be the love of my life. Since i'm a big believer and dreamer of love i don't think i should let a frienship stop something. :D Thankyou for the comment!!!! :D |
