Climbing Just To Fall
18 June, 2003
Author: LinzAy
I looked up at this building so tall
I was hesitant to approach it before
But I eventually went in
After finding it's open doors
Walked through halls
Seemed as though I were lost in a maze
Found an elevator
Seemed the ride up took days
Now I stand here
Looking upon the rooftop
Standing here, for now
Sturdy as a rock
I want to near the edge
But I don't
I'm afraid to fall incase it'll hurt
Though I feel it won't
I'm stuck between these elevator doors
Where I'm safe
Past adventures keep me weary
Over my heart they drape
