Close my eyes to fall asleep
Not knowing what I'll dream
Welcoming peace
Darkness overcomes me

So I sleep and I dream

You have such a beautiful face
And my hand's in yours again
You kiss me
My tears come to an end
Being held in your arms
My smile larger than ever
And we dance
Holding each other close together
Cuddling close, talking about love
We watch the rise of another day
I'm in heaven
But it all starts to fade away

So I awake and I cry

Seems I sleepwalk
For I'm in a chair staring at your face
Tears dropped on a picture
It's a love my heart cannot erase

I have been through exactly this so many times before, but I have never been able to cacth the essence of the moment like you have. Thank you, excellent poem, truly amazing and emotional.

How do you do it? Get your inspiration? Real life's lessons? "Tears dropped on a picture, it's a love my heart cannot erase" Your an inspiring poet. Thanks for sharing all your poems. My wife sleep walk before. She was walking to work at three o'clock in the morning. So I picked her up and took her there. She woke up! Store was close. Just wanted to see how far this would go? So be careful sleepwalking LinzAy. Glad you were only in a chair.

Ruby: Thankyou for the wonderful comment! I'm glad i was able to capture the essence of it for ya:D

And Dino: I don't think I myself have ever sleptwalked, but my brother has and me and my mom were talkin about that and I thought a poem about sleepwalking would be kewl but needed a reason for it...and love was it. Thankyou also for the wonderful comment! :D
