Too Much To Ask
19 February, 2003
Author: LinzAy
Was it too much to ask
When I just asked for the truth?
When I asked about your feelings
Why couldn’t your words be true?
Was it too much to ask for honesty
When your words were spoken?
Thank God I didn’t let myself fall
I just would’ve been broken
I saw it all coming, I’m not stupid
Why do you think I didn’t call?
Thank God instead of running to you
I walked to you slowly-almost a crawl
I’m assuming it was too much to ask
After all, you had so much on your mind
And no need to worry, which you’re probably not
-I’ll be just fine
