Blood Of A Poets Heart by LinzAy

There it lay in a pool of blood
Covers stabbed, pages torn
Every single one of my emotions
Dead now - all unborn
The pool of blood, so dark, now spreading
Across the lands of my soul
Covering all that should be uncovered
Seeping into every hole
The knife still standing in the wound
That it placed amongst my heart
The scar will be horrific
A wounded peice of art
The pages torn, blow away in the wind
I'm losing all my thoughts
All my emotions, all my dreams
Never again, in a poetic moment, to be caught
Every word I wrote with all of me
Every word I once believed
Dead now - all unborn
As if they were never once conceived
The blood of this poetic heart
Pours out as if to never stop
I'm bleeding to death
Sadly awaiting the last drop

Word Engineer?
LinzAy, you put this together like a Word Engineer, if there is such a thing. Everything fit, each word was in its place. Poetry can to me, be very draining although I love to write. I read so many, well constructed poems on this site and they not only give, but they take, Do you know what I mean? Sometimes I just feel exhusted, yet happy!

This was very, very well done!
