Cold Flame
11 January, 2003
Author: LinzAy
Smoke kissed the dark cerulean and scarlet sky
From a fire that supposedly couldn't be extinguished
Flames so hot they burned the soul
Any emotion that tried to withstand this flame was vanquished
A scarred heart, a scarred soul
A scarred mind from pleasurable pain
Love and passion, affectionate predilection
Nothing should've been able to eclipse this fire-a thought so vain
Because slowly a cold drizzle of loathly tears
Transformed into a horrendous downpour
The fire was dieing, the smokey flames were crying
Passion could no longer make these flames brilliantly roar
Something went wrong with this flame of passion
So decieving, just not to the naked eye
Instead of love and passion it's pity and hope
So the fire burst into a quick blaze to say its goodbye
The once so beautiful flame of the heart
Now has such a sad, sad name
Hurt and pain, sorrow and strife
Now all that's left, all you can see, is the flicker of a cold flame
