Sunset
24 September, 2002
Author: LinzAy
The sky is a pink and purple
With clouds of a deep sea blue
There's so much i could think of
But all that comes to mind is you
The night is quickly coming
And the stars are getting brighter
With every minute that passes by
Everything in my world is getting quieter
Too much silence
Leaves too much time to think
The sky is now the dakest of blue
With no more signs of pink
The moon is smiling at me
Like I wish you could right now
And so I start to think of your lips
Want to ask you to kiss me, but how?
The stars give me a wink
Which is what you ocassionally do
So as my mind went blank a moment
All thoughts went back to you
The clouds pass by with a sigh
Along with the singing of the wind
And, again, that's somehow linked to you
I justed leaned my head back and grinned
The trees sway to a silent tune
Dancing the night away
Music, fun, and a certain someone
Thoughts of you-are they here to stay?
From the last time I saw you
To the first day we met
Every thought was of you
As I watched the sunset

Pamela (66.38.146.118) -- Monday, January 27 2003, 01:40 am I didn't even see this one until today - but is it ever beautifully written. Sunsets are my favorite thing and I think there is no better comparison you could have made. |
LinzAy (205.188.209.137) -- Thursday, January 30 2003, 10:57 am Thanx Pamela...im glad that someone who loves sunsets was able to feel or visualize a poem i wrote that had comparisons of a beautiful sunset in it. |
Pamela (66.38.146.169) -- Thursday, February 6 2003, 05:03 am Anyone who does not love sunsets or sunrises has serious issues. They are the only pure thing left in this corrupted world - and we are blessed enough with it's presence twice a day! |

Martin Vann (65.56.172.32) -- Sunday, February 9 2003, 09:26 pm Was this real, or another trip to dreamersreality? I felt this was real, the hearts were real, was it REAL or just another lovely gift you shared with us? Years ago when I was a Marine stationed in San Clemente, CA. I watched the sunset, biggest, yellow/orange ball I had ever seen. This is true, listen to me..., As the bottom of the sun began to touch the sea, I clould actually, see flames around the edges of the sun as it slipped in to the sea. Now, what I saw were the flames and that was all, the sun slowly vanished, deep into the sea. In your poem, Sunset, I saw the above sunset again, after all these years. The big difference this time was that because of your poem, I heard my setting sun "sizzle" as it touched the sea. Lot of love in this one lady, Thanks, MartinV |
LinzAy (64.12.103.36) -- Monday, February 10 2003, 05:12 am Well Martin. I wrote this poem mostly for that 1st class jerk...b4 he broke up with me of course, even b4 we started going out. And the sunset was so beautiful that i nite wrote the poem so i worked him and the sunset in together and my feelings and this poem was the ending result. |
