My Friend i know you're strong enough
To make it through today
I know you've got the strength
to overcome any obstacle
That tries to block your way
My friend i know you're strong enough
Even if you sit and let out a few tears
Everyone cries a little
Because of the pain brought throughout the years
My friend i know you're strong enough
Even when you think you're not
I know you've got the strength and so do you
It's just something that, at this moment, you forgot
My friend i know you're strong enough
To hold your head up high
And though people think it show weakness
I think you're even stronger if you can cry
My friend i know you're strong enough
Though you need my shoulder on which to cry
That just shows you're strong enough to trust
And that's something noone can take from you or deny
My friend i know you're strong enough
Not only because you've proven your strength before
But also because you've given me strength when i needed it
And that's something not to be ignored
My friend i know you're strong enough
Even though you may feel so weak you fall
And even if i must help you back up
You still have the strength to stand tall
My friend i know you're strong enough
Though confusion makes you think you're weak
But i know your strength comes through in everything you do
It's what makes you so unique
My friend i know you're strong enough
To take a step ahead of all this pain
I know you've got the strength it takes
To surpass this and show a smile again without strain.

I wouldnt have written it though if it weren't for one of my friends who's going thru a sticky situation...it was one of those personal in the moment poems. You melt my heart, my eyes flow as my only reply. With tears, just to hear and read your words. A stranger, someone I have never met, can share such love for others, with just your words. You comfort others and some, you know not by name, thousands actually, who will this poem 50 countires visit this site. Such love in your words, presented to those of us who "need" them, what a friend you are. My God, I say, bless this poet, she heals such pain, even though, we know her name, others may not who read this poem. "We" know we have a friend, someone who cares, yet, she not even knowing, all "our names," it doesn't matter to her. Its from her heart, that all can see, a friend in need, is a friend of her's.
