Close your eyes, imagine
feeling like the world was in your hands
and everything was done at your demand

Close your eyes, imagine
that by lifting your feet you could fly up high
you could see the world and beyond the sky

Close your eyes, imagine
that just the thought of you brings people a smile
talking to you is beyond worthwhile

Close your eyes, imagine
that your soul and heart was at peace
you had no worries, you could just lay back and enjoy the breeze

Close your eyes, imagine
that all of this could happen
without having to close your eyes and imagine!

Imagine
Oh if it could be so. Its nice to imagine such things. I can only hope that Heaven is like that. I would like to be in a place where even your wildest imaginings can become real. A place where everybody cared about one another. Where everyone was important. Its just too bad that place isn't here, and we have to write poems that momentarily take us there. You are a wonderful poet Lisa. Keep it up.
