Untouchable
25 January, 2003
Author: Lisa H
You can look, but you can’t touch,
tell me sweet things
but it won’t do much
You can stand there and hope I glance,
but I’ll just give you a look that says
you don’t have a chance
Your heart can melt as you stare
wishing I understood what you felt
but the truth is that I don’t care
You can talk to me and I’ll be your friend,
but the moment you start to like me
our friendship will end
You can dream of us being a couple,
but when you wake up you'll realize I am
THE UNTOUCHABLE!

Mark Spencer (205.188.209.45) -- Wednesday, February 12 2003, 03:17 am Nicely written Lisa, but it saddens me. I hope you haven't placed this kind of wall around yourself. Love should never be shut out. I know it hurts sometimes, and can bring us lower than any other power, but it can also lift you up higher than you could ever imagine. From its precipice you could even find Utopia. Mark |
Lisa (65.134.176.142) -- Wednesday, February 19 2003, 03:35 am I was inspired to write this poem when I saw a guy walk down the hall, and all the girls just stopped what they were doing to look at him. This isn't about me, but about a guy I used to know. This poem describes how he was towards girls that liked him. |

Martin Vann (67.75.180.33) -- Monday, February 24 2003, 08:50 pm Why are girls, women, females so much more intuitively accute, about such things as, what will happen as compared to what may be? Lisa H, I think you know your heart and its not for sale, no matter how sweet the the words. I feel your thoughts in a poem I wrote called, "Verbal Intercourse," its obvious, you will not be a victim of such a conversation. Once Dreamer gets the site back on-line, take a look at my submission and see, if you agree. I agree with what you say in you Poem, "Untouchable," but I also realize, you "are capable" of love, but it has to be love first. Very to the point stand, I applaud your position! MartinV |
